The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is in the process of developing methodologies on estimated billing and connection fees for electricity distribution customers. The Commission has reviewed the existing methods currently used by the distribution companies in estimating non-metered customers, as well as connection fees in connecting new customers to the distribution supply network.
Based on this, draft methodologies have been developed and published on our website www.nercng.org for the general public since June 1, 2012 for comments and contributions. Several stakeholders have already submitted written comments on both methodologies.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) invites members of the general public and stakeholders of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) to a consultation workshop to discuss the estimated billing and connection cost methodology. Event details are as follows:
