Dr. Abba Ibrahim Armiya'u, Commissioner, Government and Consumer Affairs, comes with interdisciplinary background spanning both technical and commercial aspects of the international gas industry.
Abba's background and experience in economics, regulatory and geopolitical factors that affect the organization and structure of the gas industry will be of immense advantage to the Commission in fulfilling its mandate.
Abba, a Chartered Engineer, is a member of many national and international professional bodies including the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers and the Engineering Council of United Kingdom. He holds a Doctorate degree from Cranfield University in the U.K.
